While there, he interned for a semester with the California Court of Appeal. After earning his law degree in 1981, Ron began practicing law in Los Angeles, handling personal injury matters, which he finds very satisfying. He opened the Law Offices of Ronald Fomalont in 1994, with a primary office in Woodland Hills and a satellite office in Century City. Ron enjoys hiking with his family in the Santa Monica Mountains, is a long-time board member of the Topanga Association for a Scenic Community, and regularly practices Tae Kwon Do in Topanga.<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>[\/et_pb_blurb][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=&#8221;1_2&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;4.24.2&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][et_pb_blurb title=&#8221;Roger Pugliese, Vice President&#8221; image=&#8221;https:\/\/topangachamber.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Roger-Pugliese-3-e1723681171211.jpg&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.24.2&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Roger\u2019s interest in the magic world of movie making began when the TV set in his home was used as his baby sitter. It opened up for him endless possibilities. But it was not until later on in life that he was he able to actualize the dream. Mr. Pugliese\u2019s more formal career began by taking film classes at NYU and has continued for over thirty years. He is credited on more than thirty films and has worked in almost every facet of the industry from development, production and postproduction. Starting out as a production assistant on the streets of New York, working on films like Kramer Vs Kramer, The Wanderers, Firepower, All that Jazz, Fort Apache-The Bronx and Blow Out. He became known as \u201cthe Best Street PA in New York. That title served him well by instilling confidence to those film makers that had concerns about shooting on the big bad streets of NY. It also led him to working on one of his boyhood idol\u2019s last film \u201cFirst Deadly Sin\u201d with Frank Sinatra. He then moved up the production ladder learning every facet of the business. After a successful career as an Assistant Director throughout the 1980\u2019s, working on films such as Grandview USA, Police Academy II and Big Top Pee Wee, Mr.Pugliese began his producing career as a production manager for Garry Marshall on the film \u201cPretty Woman.\u201d<\/span><\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Mr. Pugliese\u2019s work as a co-producer on \u201cSingle White Female,\u201d starring Bridget Fonda and Jennifer Jason Leigh was instrumental in establishing his long-standing relationship with Sony Pictures. He has overseen production on numerous films including John Singleton\u2019s \u201cHigher Learning\u201d, Tony Scott\u2019s \u201cThe Fan\u201d and Howard Deutch\u2019s \u201cArticle 99\u201d. He enjoyed a creative collaboration as a line producer with Christine Lahti on her feature directorial debut, \u201cMy First Mister.\u201d He completed producing a short film called \u2018til Death\u201d starring Joe Mantegna and directed by writer\/director Phoef Sutton. By his association with young up and coming film makers he has produced two films with USC graduates: \u201cLive at the Foxes Den\u201d directed by Michael Kristoff and \u201cWe Don\u2019t Belong Here\u201d directed by Peer Pedersen. He is developing an eclectic slate of films and about to start Production on a film called \u201cOn Smoother Dirt \u2013 The life of Ernie Banks. Some of these other projects include\u201d Under the Influence\u201d, \u201cMutant Message Down Under\u201d, \u201cWild Card\u201d, \u201cSwingin Chicks of the 60\u2019s\u201d \u201cBreaking Irish\u201d and \u201cThe Modern Jazz Quartet- The Gentlemen of Jazz. Ron graduated from California State University, Northridge with a BS in Accounting in 1983. He currently works to keep the business community acquainted with important matters concerning local government and environmental concerns.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Also a travel journalist and broadcaster, Joseph operates the multi-media organization, TRAVELSCOPE\u00ae dedicated to educating travelers about other cultures, and travel destinations. Choosing the University of Denver for a Film + Communications degree, she skied in between working on local documentaries, and dreamed about finding a small community in California to pursue her film career. On one rainy Valentine\u2019s Day, having moved to California, she discovered Topanga Canyon and found her home. Working as a commercial TV producer, Robyn and her company Film Planet provide Production Services for companies and individuals wanting to film in South America. As Membership Co-Chair for the Topanga Chamber, Robyn spends time talking with our local businesses, listening to their ideas and trying to implement them whenever possible. Tommy majored in art in High School, received his BFA in painting through Herron School of Art in Indianapolis, Indiana, and received his Masters in Fine Art at USC. While attending USC, Tommy visited the studio of the 1950s TV show Gun Smoke, a fortuitous inspiration for his painting career. The studio set of Dodge City very much resembled the small town of Washingtonville, New York where Tommy grew up. This small-town boy from upstate New York, helped raise research money for the Jaycees and CFF following his daughter&#8217;s diagnosis of Cystic Fibrosis. Tommy lived in Malibu from 1997 to 2005, worked in Hollywood for over three decades, and painted signs for businesses in Malibu and Topanga for many years. Before the Inn\u2019s inception both Lucy and Dr. Ralph had their psychotherapy offices in Beverly Hills while living in the hills of Topanga Canyon near the Inn. The Inn of the Seventh Ray also does traditional weddings and events and for many years was the only Los Angeles wedding venue to offer vegetarian and vegan weddings with the option of gluten-free wedding cakes, and serving organic or biodynamic wines. Over the years the use of organic ingredients has grown dramatically.\u00a0 Organic food has gone mainstream and available in most supermarkets.
