As part of the process of obtaining tour permits from the West Los Angeles County Council, which we need in order to fall under the BSA’s insurance policy during an outing, we are required to state that we have provided the BSA Pledge of Performance to all parents participating in an event for which we are obtaining a tour permit, and confirm that all parents have read the document.   THEREFORE, BEFORE YOU MAY GO ON A PACK 24 OUTING, YOU MUST READ THE BSA PLEDGE OF PERFORMANCE AND INFORM THE TOUR LEADER IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS ABOUT THE PLEDGE BEFORE THE OUTING.

We are also required to state that we have provided the BSA Transportation Guidelines to all parents who are driving on an outing.   THERFORE, IF YOU WILL BE DRIVING TO A PACK 24 OUTING, YOU MUST REVIEW THE BSA TRANSPORTATION GUIDELINES AND INFORM THE TOUR LEADER IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS ABOUT THE GUIDELINES BEFORE THE OUTING.

Finally, all tour leaders must review the current version of the Guide to Safe Scouting prior to leading an outing.
